Track your cold shower challenge on iPhone. Log each cold shower, build toward 30 or 100, and avoid losing everything to one warm shower. Free to download.
Cold shower challenges are typically designed around streaks: 30 consecutive days, 100 days in a row. The streak is the point of the challenge — or so the format implies. But the streak format creates an all-or-nothing structure for something that should be cumulative.
You've done 67 cold showers. On day 68 you're sick, genuinely ill, and a cold shower on top of a fever seems unwise. You take a warm shower. The 67-day streak breaks to zero.
The 67 showers happened. They were real. Whatever benefit came from them didn't un-happen because you took one warm shower during a fever. A count tracker keeps the 67 and adds to it when you resume.
A total of 100 cold showers is a meaningful number. Whether those 100 came on consecutive days or across a few months with some gaps, they represent the same 100 mornings you chose cold over warm.
Daily cold showers reach 100 in 100 days and 365 in a year. Most challenge participants start daily and adjust over time.
Cold shower challenges are count-based: "100 cold showers," "30-day challenge." When the goal is the total, the tracker should show the total. A streak tracker is common for this challenge, but one warm shower on an illness day resets it entirely.
Taking a warm shower on day 67 resets a 100-shower challenge streak to zero. The 67 already completed are real progress. The streak shows nothing.
One per day reaches 100 in 100 days. A missed day on day 67 costs one shower from the count, not the entire 67.
