Album Listening Goal Tracker for iPhone

Track albums listened to on iPhone. Log each full album completed, build toward 100 this year, and track your way through a genre or back catalog. Free.

The 1001 albums list. A genre deep-dive. Every Coltrane record before the year ends. Album listening goals are about working through a defined catalog — and they require a completion tracker, not a daily check-in.

Some weeks you listen to three albums on a long drive or a quiet Sunday. Other weeks you're on shuffle through scattered playlists and don't finish a single album front to back. A daily listening tracker sees both weeks the same way.

Full album listening is intentional in a way that playlist listening isn't. You sit with an album from track one to the end, often over multiple sittings. The completion is the event. The time between sittings is just how it goes.

A completion counter shows 38 of 100 albums. The weeks you were mid-album don't show up as missed days — they're just the space between logging the 38th and the 39th.

Two albums per week reaches about 100 in a year. One album per day reaches 365.

Why albums listened is a milestone goal

Album listening goals measure completions. "100 albums this year" tracks how deep you've gone into a genre or artist's catalog. The count builds as you complete albums, regardless of daily listening patterns.

The problem with streak trackers for albums listened

A week of playlist listening rather than full albums resets a check-in streak even when you're 40 albums into a 100-album goal. The 40 completed albums are the real count.

What the math looks like

Two albums per week reaches 100 in about a year. Heavy listening weeks and quiet ones both contribute to the same total.
